 Job Description: The Safety Specialist primary responsibility is to minimize injuries, reduce exposure to workplace hazards and insure compliance with company, customer and regulatory requirements. This individual will be responsible for driving a safety-minded culture within operations throughout Texas.

Site inspections: Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards and safety needs at business sites and provide site-specific recommendations to reduce or eliminate risk.

Responsible for providing field support to both line and staff managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Credentials from a recognized national certification program (Required: OSHA 500 REQUIRED).
  • The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in safety inspection, quality, risk management and compliance in the commercial and industrial construction arenas.
  • Experience implementing programs for an accident-free work place.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement process, ability to work with and support line management and the ability to communicate effectively with our workforce.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State statutes related to construction and industrial-operations.
  • Assist in inspecting/processing accident investigations or other compliance violations.
  • Previous experience with industrial and commercial trades and preferably with scaffold experience.
  • Professional communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Some travel required.

CDL Class A Driver

Job Description: Responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle and the reliable delivery of products to our clients.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods.
  • Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Load and unload trucks, vans.

Inside Sales/Billing Representative

Job Description: Ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the inside sales/billing office and support the work of management and other staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • The employee must represent BETCO in a positive and professional manner

  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions
  • Will interact with the purchasing and accounting departments and provide all information as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Yard Foreman

Job Description: Reports directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Office Manager and the Company Director of Operations. Supervises 5 to 8 employees, oversees the loading and unloading of scaffold material following all operating and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Provide leadership to manage the work activities of direct reports
  • Monitoring inventory levels and reporting when quantities are low or high
  • Provide for timely and accurate pickup and delivery of scaffolding inventory to fulfill customer expectations

Job Description: The estimator/draftsperson will design, estimate and do material take offs for scaffolding, shoring, hoists, suspended platforms and debris chutes. The estimating and design process includes site visits, office visit, communicating with customers and utilizing AutoCAD software. Some travel will be required, however overnight stay is not anticipated. This position is in direct support of the sales personnel and will report to the Estimating Manager.

Required Qualifications:
• Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• College or technical courses equivalent to an Associate’s Degree.
• Construction related experience.
• AutoCAD 2012 knowledge and implementation.

• Competent Scaffold Trained.

Job Description: Establishes relationships with potential new customers and enhances relationships with current customers to rent and sell scaffolding and other products and services offered by the company.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Generate sales leads in an assigned territory by calling on potential new customers to determine their requirements.  Rent and sell scaffolding products/services, consistent with company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Establish relationships with current customers assigned to determine requirements.  Rent and sell scaffolding products/services consistent with company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Examine customer bids and specifications and prepare proposals that fulfill customer requirements for the rental or sale and erection and dismantle of scaffolding and other products. Coordinate required engineering services relating to proposals. Perform duties related to proposal preparation, such as reviewing blueprints, performing estimating and walking job sites.
  • Present completed proposals to customers in a professional manner and respond to customer questions and/or objections to secure the contract. Negotiate terms of the contract within the guidelines established by the company.
  • Coordinate the delivery and/or erection and dismantle of scaffolding systems and other products consistent with customer requirements and company guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and assist in the supervision and direction of job site work crews to fulfill customer requirements within company guidelines, including safety requirements. Oversee job requirements with construction job site management and company personnel to insure satisfaction of customer requirements.
  • Review billing activities to insure that customers are invoiced in an accurate and timely manner for all sales and/or rental of scaffolding systems and related services. Follow up with past-due accounts to secure payment for contracted products or services, including lien releases, in a manner that insures payment but maintains the business relationship with the customer.
  • Maintain and provide documentation of sales activities and related expenses. This includes periodic territory reviews when requested by  management, including but not limited to, all customer and prospect sales activity in your territory, forecasting potential contract revenue, frequency of contact with customers/prospects, and any assistance required in securing specific contracts.
  • Provide regular forecasts of expected new business and expected return of equipment from existing jobs
  • Maintain and report competitor’s sales activity and pricing in your territory.
  • Attend and complete any training necessary to understand the company’s products and their use and any required safety courses.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Practice excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, company employees, and customer employees at job sites and give sales presentations in order to secure contracts within the company’s pricing and terms and conditions guidelines.
  • Process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data, and effectively communicate the related required actions to customers and company personnel.
